I was 11 years old, living in Denver Colorado. It was December 20th. Falling from the sky was thin paper like snowflakes that were as white as brand new milk. I was playing in the beautiful snow thinking about singing up on stage with 4,000,000,000 people watching me. Also I was dreaming of being in a movie and getting a great award. That is what I want to happen more than anything else. Then the best thing happened to me…
I got an early Christmas present from my family. IT WAS A PLANE TICKET TO NEW YORK!!!!! I yelled as loud as I could as I was jumping up and down. “Also” my mom said, “You get to bring Laney because her mom said that she would love to help you become a star. But she doesn’t know yet so try not to tell her but if you have to then I guess that is o.k.” I jumped up and down some more and ran up to my room. I took the thin ticket in my hand and happiness filled the room as I called Laney to tell her that we were going! I didn’t tell her that she was coming. When I told her that I was just going the excitement in her voice was dull so I decided I am going to tell her that she is coming with me!!!! On the second ticket there was a stick-note on it saying “laney” I looked at it also most bursting out with excitement. I said “But there is something else, YOU ARE COMING WITH ME!!!!!!!!” I yelled. “ OH MY GOSH!!!!! THINS IS AWSOME WE ARE GOING TOGETHER!!!!!” She screamed almost piercing my ears. We talked on the phone for 2 hours talking about how excited she was to help me and how excited I was to become a STAR! Once I got off the phone with her, I felt like I was on top of the world! I was about to be a STAR!
2 months had passed by and it was finally time to get on the plane to NEW YORK!!!! As we got called to aboard the plane, I gave my mom a big hug and ran to the big, cold, comfey, plane with excitement in the air. As I sat down I dreamed of being on stage singing. Outside of that, acting in the movies that hit #1. I feel asleep while I was dreaming and once I woke up we were there!
We got off the plane to see a beautiful sight. We were in New York! Laney and I got our luggage and then caught a taxi to take us to a fancy hotel where all of the stars stay. I gave the cab driver $20.00 and looked into the city. Rain was trickling down the window as I listened to the city say, “Lexi, you are a STAR!” I also listened to all the people scuffling around trying not to get wet. Then we pulled up to the biggest, most pretty, hotel, we were there.
